Apple Beats x Roddy Rich

Roddy Ricch stars in the new commercial spot for the newest Apple Beats Studio Buds. The rapper introduces Apple’s latest noise-canceling headphones.

The video was shot in Los Angeles. However, remotely from London.

The new Apple Beats Studio Buds are wireless in-ear headphones with a noise-canceling function. This makes it possible to block out all the sounds of the outside world and immerse yourself completely in the music.

To visually demonstrate this, Roddy Ricch is seen diving into his “own world” as soon as he puts the headphones in. While “The Box” rapper walks the LA streets, his track “Late At Night” is playing and his environment changes accordingly. The music video for this song featured the new Studio Buds even before they were announced.

“Studio Buds is our tiniest, most subtle form factor to date, yet keeps Beats’ promise of delivering an immersive sound experience in a beautiful design,” said Oliver Schusser, vice president of Beats and Apple Music.

The clip is being released as a worldwide TV spot that will also run during the halftime commercial break of current NBA playoff games.

The Studio Buds sell for a retail price of $149.99 and offer a total playtime of 24 hours with two charges from the charging case. Colorwise, it’s possible to choose between black, white and red.

That Beats by Dre made Dr. Dre a billionaire is no secret. Back in 2014, Apple secured the brand for reportedly three billion dollars. It’s only fitting that now the focus continues to be on credible rappers. Roddy Ricch, who like Dre hails from Compton, is definitely a perfect fit. The brand, deeply rooted in the culture, also contributes to the very same.

This approach is also working in Germany. RAF Camora recently teamed up with the traditional brand Bang & Olufsen. Together they want to combine their highly qualitative sound experience and RAF’s characteristic design with the “Beoplay H4 x Anthra XP by RAF Camora“.
