What you missed

Like every week, we’re back with another recap of the most important happenings of the hiphop and street fashion business world.

This time, we have Rihanna, who got together with MSCHF for a different kind of make-up all while Doja Cat creates hype around her new clothing line. In Germany, we’re talking about Celo & Abdi, who released a new beverage.

And for some feel good vibes, we got the one and only Snoop Dogg, who’s working on a children’s YouTube show.

Lots to cover, so let’s get into it!

Rihanna and MSCHF
confuse the internet

Rihanna’s extremely successful make-up brand Fenty Beauty got together with the art and design collective MSCHF for a special drop. Together, they worked on a red lip gloss reminiscent of, well, ketchup. The product comes in a package of six sauce-style sachets – and some of them are actual ketchup.

For 25 US Dollars, people can buy the box that contains either a couple little baggies of some new Fenty goodness or actual sauce. Fittingly, the whole thing is called “Ketchup or Make-Up?”.

MSCHF is constantly working on drops and products together with famous collaborators from the culture. They have created hype with and for artists like Tyga or Lil Nas X – always through dropping controversial or just funny products.

Whether or not you find it gimmicky, MSCHF regularly proves that thought-out, clever collaborations are always a win.

Celo, Abdi, and the Nana Tee

German rap-duo Celo and Abdi continue to tackle the beverage market with their new drinks. For summer, they released a mint iced tea titled “Nana Tee” – inspired by traditional Moroccan tea.

The new flavor tastes like mint and lemon and is the second drop after their “Mokka Latte”.

To market the drink, Abdi shared a video where he showed his version of the traditional drink.

Fans and beverage connoisseurs can buy it at select stores or online, on the hotblood website. Hot Blood is a family business from Frankfurt that creates lifestyle drinks aimed at young consumers.

Doja Cat’s clothing line
“is giving”

Doja Cat started the week with a bang when she announced her new clothing brand “It’s Giving”. The whole brand is basically a translation of her whole brand.

Her clothing line consists of classic streetwear silhouettes and pieces like tees, hoodies, joggers, caps, and accessories. The logo is pretty colorful – just like Doja Cat’s usual style – but printed on neutral colors. So really, anyone can wear it, whether you like color or basics.

Fans can shop the pieces online – all in the middle price range.

Snoop Dogg creates
Doggyland

Kids don’t watch TV these days, they watch YouTube – and Snoop Dogg certainly knows that. To give back some good vibes, the rapper and entrepreneur is working on his newest project “Doggyland” new YouTube channel that offers “Kids Songs & Nursery Rhymes” infused with hiphop beats and rhymes.

To kick the project off, Snoop explained the show and the concept on the new channel to parents and kids.
