Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon Clothing collabs with Puma
The marathon continues
The late Nipsey Hussle’s clothing brand TMC aka The Marathon Clothing teamed up with Puma once again. Together, they’re dropping a capsule collection that fans can officially buy today.
The two-piece collection offers a t-shirt as well as a joint Puma Suede sneaker. This marks the third time, the collaborators are working together. So let’s take a look, shall we?
All good things come in threes
Dropping today, the collection features a grey theme with the classic fusion of TMC’s and Puma’s logo. First, we got the T-Shirt, which comes in an all-white look, with just the logo on the upper part of its front side. The individual branding is kept in a charcoal-like grey color.
The sneaker – the main event of this drop – comes in a similar color and features a rather minimalistic branding. The back of the shirt features a golden “TMC” lettering with a fitting wreath surrounding it. In addition to that, we can see “The Marathon” written on the aglets of the shoelaces and a small Puma logo placed in the lower corner of the shirt.
Both items are supposed to drop today, Friday, May 7th, and will be available at your go-to streetwear online retailer. The sneaker dropped a little earlier (at least in Germany) and was already available for some days before the official capsule drop. The shoe costs about 80 Euros.
The legacy
The Marathon Clothing is a part of Nipsey Hussle’s ongoing legacy. The artist, who passed away in March 2019, founded the brand as a physical clothing store. It was one of his proudest accomplishments and went back to the roots of the rapper: Together with his brother, he opened up the shop in his childhood hometown of Crenshaw.
Inspired by his sixth mixtape “The Marathon Continues”, this brand continues to celebrate the artist’s life. Their first official collaboration with Puma was a tribute to his vision and even featured design elements that go back to the original ideas of Nipsey.
