Here is what you missed

It has been a quiet week for hiphop business moves, with some exceptions. As every Wednesday, for our “This is what you missed last week” we’ll give you an overview of all the major happenings that you’ve got to have on your radar.

This time Nike and its newly acquiered company RTFKT are dropping an exclusive NFT, while Bad Bunny becomes the face of Jacquemus’ newest campaign. And of course, we celebrated the first-ever AMBITION FIVE – Fashion.

Lots to cover, so let’s get into it:

Nike & RTFKT Studios deliver their first NFT

In December of last year, Nike acquired NFT experts RTFKT Studios. Now the first joint collaboration between the new partners awaits us – The MNLTH NFT.

It is not yet evident what precisely this is all about. So far, fans have only been able to gaze at a gray, rotating box that bears the Swoosh logo as well as the RTFKT lightning bolt.

The NFT is being auctioned through the platform OpenSea until tomorrow, February 10th. Currently, the price sits at 5 ETH, which translates into a little more than 14,000 € at current exchange rates. And all this despite not even knowing what exactly comes with the NFT. The description on OpenSea also leaves little to be concluded:

“Behold a mysterious MNLTH, etched with Nike & RTFKT markings. It seems to be sentient… What does it do?”

As soon as there’s an update on what’s in store for the buyer of Nike’s first-ever NFT, you’ll find it on our Instagram channel: @theambitiongermany

Bad Bunny & Jacquemus make it “SPLASH”

For their new “LE SPLASH” campaign, Jacquemus has enlisted none other than one of the world’s biggest artists: Bad Bunny.

The Puerto Rican superstar presents the flamboyant outfits absolutely true to his style and as always, is not too shy to break boundaries. So even a pink dress and open-toe high heels aren’t off-limits.

For Bad Bunny, it is already the second major campaign in recent times. Last year, he became the first Latin music star to secure an adidas collaboration.

All this came after he already graced the cover of Playboy magazine in 2020, the first man ever to do so.

It’s safe to say Bad Bunny and the culture are here to stay!
