Kolja Goldstein, Nicki Minaj & Lyrical Lemonade – This is what you missed last week
What you missed
Like every week, we’re back with another recap of the most important happenings of the hiphop and street fashion business world.
This time, we have German Gangster rapper Kolja Goldstein, who’s entering the NFT world with a bang. From the US, we got Nicki Minaj, who is getting a six-part documentation about herself. And last but not least, Lyrical Lemonade, the uber-successful multimedia company by Cole Bennett, is getting its own sneaker.
Lots to cover, so let’s get into it!
Kolja Goldstein enters
the NFT market
Kolja Goldstein, his brother, and his manager (and one of his best friends) have launched their own NFTs fittingly called “The Cartel Genesis”. To celebrate the release of the NFT-collection, they held a party showing what the NFT can actually do: Grant access to an exclusive network.
The network that is lovingly called “the cartel” is a community that comprises special members and – of course – the ones that buy the NFT. To the holders of the NFT, Kolja and his team promise to grant various benefits, including special song releases, parties and access to the exclusive online shop. On top of that, there seems to be a member-exclusive metaverse coming soon!

Nicki Minaj and her
six-part
documentation
The six-part documentary “Nicki” is apparently coming soon. It will be a project about the life and career of the female rap icon. In a two-minute teaser trailer, you can see all kinds of different footage – from various concerts and live performances to memorable moments of her career to very personal behind-the-scenes footage.
Nicki accompanies all of this herself, giving deep insights into her personality and career in an interview. As one of the first women in the rap game to celebrate commercial success with her music, she paved the way for today’s renowned rap artists like Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, or Doja Cat.
The six-part Nicki documentary, “that you didn’t know you needed,” was made with Canadian film production company Bron Studios.
Lyrical Lemonade gets
a new Nike sneaker
Lyrical Lemonade, the multimedia company by Cole Bennett, is getting together with Nike for a new Air Force 1 Low collaboration. It’s his second sneaker collaboration – the first one being a joint shoe with the Jordan brand. And apparently a dream come true, as he describes it in his Instagram post.
The shoe will be released in a soft pink / yellow colorway, reminiscent of the iconic “Lemonade” design of the company. And to top things off, their logo will be printed on the shoe.
Lyrical Lemonade is one of the most hyped hiphop-media companies right now. What started out as a blog evolved into a production company for music videos, festivals, events and more, working with stars like Eminem, Kanye West and the likes.
