Future stars in Rhude’s first-ever fashion campaign
Rhude Boy Future
Up-and-coming streetwear brand Rhude announced its inaugural campaign, which goes by the name “Rhude Boy.”
The face of this campaign is none other than rapper Future. The artist has been a self-confessed fan of the brand for a long time and has also collaborated with founder Rhuigi Villaseñor on his own projects.
“The Wizard, Future” as the modern Gentleman
The LA-based fashion label has made quite a splash lately, with various collaborations like the recent one with Canada Goose and its own womenswear line. Now the first real collection from Rhude is coming. From April 15, the “Rhude Boy” collection can be bought. The upcoming looks have already been released.
The face of the campaign is rapper Future, who has long been a fan of the brand. Future and Rhude’s founder, Rhuigi Villaseñor, are linked by a long friendship. In 2019, the latter designed the merch for Future’s album “The Wizrd”.
In an exclusive interview with Complex, Villaseñor said:
“Future and I have known each other for some time and grew together organically with him supporting and wearing the brand as well as me advancing in my career. With the grace of the wonderful Ebonie Ward and Future, we came up with an idea to recalibrate Future’s look with my current and next collection. After that the rest is history.”
Rhude made its debut last year at Paris Fashion Week.
“Fly fashion, say I’m fashion”
Future is not the only rapper who was allowed to present new styles lately. Recently, 21 Savage got to model for Louis Vuitton‘s new Spring/Summer ’21 campaign.
Skepta was also another rapper to secure a fashion deal. The UK-grime artist recently presented his new Nike SK Air.
In Germany, Capital Bra and Adidas recently announced their joint collaboration. As part of this, the best-selling artist presented the new away jersey of the German national team.
