Here is what you missed

What a week! After a few quiet ones, this time around we’re, coming in HOT! For our weekly recap of everything hiphop business, we’ll first look at FaZe Clan’s newest member Snoop Dogg. After that, it’s all about two exciting collabs of the past week. 032c x Snipes and Burberry x Supreme. You know, for all you hypebeasts out there.

Lots to cover, so let’s get into it:

Snoop Dogg becomes a professional gamer for FaZe Clan

Snoop Dogg and the e-sports organization FaZe Clan are teaming up. The Doggfather was introduced a few days ago as the clan’s newest member. Naturally, in proper team fashion, he goes by the name of FaZe Snoop.

But Snoop doesn’t just step in as an official team member representing FaZe, though. The rap legend now also holds a seat among the board of directors. A decision that is probably also connected with the IPO of the brand planned for this year.

FaZe Clan is one of the most famous e-sports teams in the world, followed by millions across all platforms. The organization has long since broken the boundaries of gaming and has become a full-blown lifestyle brand. So it comes to no surprise that FaZe Clan’s SPAC deal was valued at $1 billion.

Snoop Dogg is far from the only celebrity playing under the FaZe Clan banner. LeBron James’ son “Bronny”, Lil Yachty and NFL star Kyler Murray are also part of the team.

Read all about what FaZe’s former VP Clinton Sparks has to say about gaming and hiphops similarities.

Supreme x Burberry displays how far the culture has come

Supreme and the British traditional brand Burberry have announced a joint collection. And the first drop is already happening in the coming days. With this, Burberry joins the seemingly endless list of Supreme collabo partners.

As early as March 10th, the first pieces will be available in the U.S., the U.K. and Europe. The remaining markets will follow two days later, on March 12th. Some pieces are available at Supreme in stores and online, while others are only copable at Burberry. Some products, like a cap and a hat, are to follow sometime in the future.

A pair of silk pajamas and a Supreme exclusive skateboard are among the highlights. Showing you, just how far the culture has come. Burberry branded streetwear and skateboards. Take that, Poshs of the world.

Among others, Irina Shayk has modeled for the associated campaign.

032c Workshop & Snipes join forces

Streetwear retailer Snipes and Berlin-based brand 032c Workshop have launched a joint collection. The collaboration’s 19 pieces in total include T-shirts, pants and hoodies, as well as shoelaces and a utility vest.

The “Breakign Barriers” campaign for the collection features a very special model: A$AP Nast. The rapper, who hiphop illiterates probably know from the Mob around A$AP Rocky, presents the collection together with 032c editor Cassidy George, and graffiti legend MODE2. Who is also responsible for some of the designs.

The main aim is to break down boundaries between different types of streetwear:

“The 032c WORKSHOP x SNIPES cross-over encourages members from both communities to look beyond the barriers allegedly separating them and shatter those. There is no high or low. There is just culture.”

032c Workshop is the exclusive fashion brand of Jörg and Maria Koch, the two founders of 032c magazine.

Feel Good News of the Week

And to top it all off, we have the Feel Good News of the Week once again. This week, it goes to Kanye West, for him taking it to the extreme with his Stem Player. The device that is currently needed to listen to his latest album “Donda 2”. It’ s apparently receiving a makeover. Literally. In the form of Stemwear, the device will seemingly soon be built into clothing. Which on the one hand is relatively ingenious, on the other hand it does look a bit silly. Just imagine seeing someone wearing it on the subway.
