Alicia Keys will host the next Moncler Genius event

In 2018, Moncler launched the Genius series, where different designers create capsule collections for the brand. Now the first major digital event is launching, Mondogenius.
The event will be hosted by none other than R’n’B superstar Alicia Keys.

The event, at which a total of eleven designers will present their collections, will take viewers through five major cities around the world: NYC, Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo and Milan.
The collaborators include Palm Angels, Alyx 9SM and Gentle Monster, who present their designs for Moncler.
“The greatest inspirations I had in my life came directly from people and at Moncler we know that the more we inspire people, the more they inspire us. This is the principle that guided the creation of Moncler Genius for 2021. Mondogenius has been designed to be a real immersion into Moncler’s energy and cultural evolution without leaving anyone out,” said Moncler CEO Remo Ruffini.
The show will take place on September 25th and can be watched on all major platforms such as Twitch, WeChat, YouTube and even LinkedIn, in addition to a dedicated website.
According to WWD, viewers can also expect performances from Solange and Chinese singer Victoria Song, among others.
Everything is a remix
Moncler’s Genius events have been very popular for years. Collaboration with different designers of this world shows not only the diversity but also the opportunities offered by cooperation.
Moncler makes use of an elementary component of hiphop culture: the remix. Like a mixtape, different designers and different styles come together and serve each other.
In the process, something new and completely unique is created.
